The project required the supply and installation of electrical services encompassing Sub station, Site reticulation, Switchboards, Light15, Power, Communications, Security, On-line Standby Generator systems, Dimming-lighting control systems, Multiple Earthing Systems and UPS systems to the new research centre at St Vincent’s Hospital. The project also required the integration of the generator services with the existing facilities requiring minimal down time and disruption to the many research projects in progress and having a dependency on uninterrupted power supplies.
The project consisted of several floors of research laboratories entailing; Cryogenic Room, Mouse Breeding and Research, Zebra Fish Laboratories, Zenapus Frog Laboratories, Large Animal Research Laboratories, Cardiac Research together with body protected areas, PC1 PC2 PC3 rooms, Biotechnology Research Rooms, and general offices
